    Two Cities in the Age of the Third Rome

    Augustine wrote about the battle between the City of God and the city of man during the fall of the Roman Empire. Many of these same principles apply to the church during the decay of our own culture today. We will study Scripture to explore the foundations of our faith and a distinctively Christian world/life view.

    Paul urges the Thessalonians to walk steadfastly and points them to the ultimate hope of the gospel. Kathleen Nielson helps us dive into the excitement of the early church and challenges us to live more faithfully as members of Christ’s body, until he comes again.

    We will be studying through a survey of the Bible looking at a different book of the Bible each night. Luke 24:27 guides us as we seek to see how Jesus reveals himself throughout the law and the prophets. Most studies will be held at the Hathaways' home.  However, the Thursdays after the first Tuesday (session meeting) will be held at various houses. Join our groupchat for up to date information.

    Christian Character, Growth and Discipleship -

    What Elders and Deacons Are

    “And [Jesus] called to Him those He Himself wanted.” (Mk. 3:13) 

                This is the Focus: To examine and discuss the priority and characteristics of biblical qualifications for manhood and brotherhood, and to learn God’s prescriptions for headship in the home and leadership in the church. Emphasis will be on one’s own spiritual discipleship and growth, the development of friendships within the class and the larger church body, and the increase in trust and support among the men.

    Cost $10.  We will join the youth of Forest Hill and Living Hope at the Lacey's home.  Bring your airsoft gun, ammo, and eye protection if you plan to play airsoft.  This is for middle and high school guys and girls.

    Please come out and let us wash your car.  All donations will go toward the youth service project at Ridge Haven Camp.

    Our Women's Spring Retreat will be held at NCPC on Saturday, May 5th from 10:00-3:00 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church. There will be no cost & lunch will be provided. Our special speaker this year will be Kathy Kuhl, who will be bringing a study titled "Renewing Our Hope".

  • Blood Pressure screening -

    Sunday, May 13, immediately after the worship service

    This service is free and performed by certified nurses. Please take a moment to stop by for a screening. The Agency for Healthcare, Research and Quality recommends blood pressure screening for everyone age 18 and older. High blood pressure is a risk factor for many chronic diseases.

    Our Picnic & Play is a monthly event that takes place on the third Sunday of May, June, August, and September. We invite families to bring your own picnic lunch, as well as picnic chairs, blankets, canopies. We gather outside by the playground after the morning worship service to picnic & play together. It’s a great opportunity for fellowship! Please join us if you can. 

    Our first Picnic & Play will be Sunday, May 20.

    Join Pastor Nick Hathaway this summer on Thursday nights as we gather in the gym and kitchen at NCPC to hang out, play games, sing songs, watch a short video, and have discussions with friends about faith in Christ.  This group is for youth in grades 7 - 12.

    saturday, june 9:  3:00 - 8:00 pm

    We'll meet at the corner of Walter's Mill and 543 to put our tubes into the water.  Going north on 543, turn left on Walter's Mill and drop off on the right hand side of the road by Deer Creek.  We'll end up at the Stewart's home for a cookout together.  This is for middle and high school guys and girls.

    Everyone is invited to stay after the morning worship service on Sunday, July 15, for a Soup & Salad Lunch.  Please bring a soup, salad, or bread to share if you are able.

    Cost $22.  Bring a bag lunch.  Meet at NCPC at 9:00 AM to travel to Guppy Gulch with youth from Living Hope and Severna Park EP.  This is for middle and high school girls and guys.
